The End of the Line

It's the end of the line. If Congress doesn't provide fiscal relief to states that are experiencing greater demands for services and reduced revenue, jobs will continue to be cut. At the same time, millions of people out of work will lose benefits and hundreds of thousands of related jobs could be lost.

Tell Congress we need at least a 30 day extension now, and then a full-year extension of unemployment benefits and COBRA.

26 million Americans are unemployed or don't have the full-time work they need to support their families.
Up to 800,000 jobs will be lost nationwide if benefits are not extended through the end of 2010.
Every $1 of unemployment insurance benefits that is spent results in $1.69 in economic stimulus in the community.
